To reduce the amount of sugar in some products, manufacturers often replace it with sweeteners . They are, of course, fewer in calories, because you are a favorite diet and do not affect so many teeth. Sweeteners such as sorbitol (E420) have the same sweetness as sugar and are used in the same amount in the diet.
Some substances are 200 times sweeter than sugar, so they put in only minimal amounts ... Examples of such sweeteners are aspartame (E951), saccharin (E954), and acesulfame-K (E950).
The general rule of thumb is that sweeteners are only provided in moderation for children under 4 years of age.
